Seizure of more than 144 tons of meat and fish that are not suitable for human consumption

The Public Authority for Veterinary Services provided a report detailing all items confiscated over the previous month to Al-Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Engineer Mustafa Al-Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock, Fish, and Poultry.

According to the report, the seized items include frozen fish, poultry, and meat that are unfit for human consumption. Some of these items were re-manufactured during the 347 minutes that were edited to reflect the violations and seized items, and they will remain there until they are presented to the competent prosecution to complete their procedures.

The report stated that this comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Ministry of Agriculture through the Public Authority for Veterinary Services and Veterinary Medicine Directorates in the governorates in control and inspection on the outlets and markets of meat, poultry, fish and products of animal origin in order to provide healthy and safe food, in order to preserve the lives of citizens from corrupt foods or unfit for ingestion by humans.
