We took part in the “First Arab International Scientific Conference,” which was held over two days, under the kind patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. The conference was titled “Arab Federation for Sports Pioneers” and was organised by the Bahraini Association for Sports Pioneers in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Sports Pioneers.

All of these theses provided us with the statistics and information regarding the distinctions between our Arab sport and sports in the industrialised nations on the global and Olympic sports map, particularly in terms of competitive field features and economic aspects.
We made a number of recommendations at the conference, as is customary, and we hope that they will be implemented in accordance with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports’ plans and strategies. By moving Bahrain’s sports programme forward, we can catch up to more developed nations mathematically and realise our aspirations and objectives in this welcome.
Since many of the proposals that led to conferences, forums, and sports seminars that our dear kingdom organised as part of its ongoing effort to advance in various disciplines have imprisoned us, we do not wish to dedicate these recommendations in the inclusion.
In addition to the Department of Physical Education at the Ministry of Education, we have four official bodies that oversee our sports system: the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the General Authority for Sports, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, and the Bahrain Olympic Committee. These official authorities are in charge of formulating strategies and development plans and overseeing their implementation.
To avoid wasting public funds, we want to invest in every dollar that enters the sports treasury as a perfect and worthwhile investment. We also want to invest in every talent and every administrative and technical skill from the faithful people. Investment is only achieved by hard work by placing the right man in the right place and believing that sport has become a cultural, economic, outstanding and promotional outlet, in addition to its competitive aspects and its contributions to the convergence of peoples.
