November 2, 2022, CAIRO Tutankhamun’s falcon-shaped armour, which is crafted of gold, lapis lazuli, and carnelian, continues to be an inspiration to jewellers today.
The falcon is flying with its wings spread wide and is holding a solar disc, two shen-rings, and an ankh on top of each talon.
This object most likely depicts Horus, the falcon-headed god of might and tyranny.
