The Serbian government is negotiating a new financing arrangement with the International Monetary Fund to receive 2. Given that it is the first deal of its kind in more than ten years, the estimated cost is 45 billion euros ($2.4 billion).
Bloomberg News Agency reported today, Wednesday, that Prime Minister Anna Barnabic said in a Tuesday dialogue with the “RTS” network that the money will support the economy, which is expected to grow by 3% this year, by less than previous expectations.
It is significant that the mission from the International Monetary Fund has been in Belgrade since last October, where the programme, which includes Serbia’s first borrowing in more than ten years, is being implemented.
Serbia is in negotiations for $ 2.4 billion using “foreign cash.”
