Qais Saeed: We have to face the plans targeting our Arab countries

The president of Tunisia, Qais Saeed, stated that “the Arab group should not be on the periphery of answers regarding world challenges.”
He said, “We have to face the schemes targeting our Arab countries,” in his remarks at the Arab summit in Algeria.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and a number of other Arab leaders attended the opening of the 31st Arab Summit, which began on Tuesday evening at the International Conference Center “Abdullatif Rahal” in Algeria. The summit will last for two days.

The periodic presidency is being passed from Algerian President Abdel-Majid Taboun, who is in charge of the current session, to Tunisian President Qais Saeed, who was in charge of the thirty-first regular session, during the summit’s inaugural session.

Over the course of two days, Arab leaders discuss a number of draught decisions that were prepared at the level of foreign ministers and pertain to the Palestinian issue, the Arab-Israeli conflict, its developments, solidarity with Lebanon, its support, developments in the Syrian crisis, developments in the state of Libya, and developments in the situation in Yemen, supporting peace and development in Sudan, supporting the Republic of Somalia, and supporting the United Nations.
