An agreement between the UAE and Washington worth $ 100 billion to support the transition to clean energy

The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, witnessed a strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America to invest $100 billion in the implementation of clean energy projects with a production capacity of 100 GB in both the UAE and the US as well as other parts of the world by 2035. This is done in order to improve energy security, spread clean technology applications, and support climate work.

The goal is to generate 100 GB of clean energy globally by 2035, according to a statement from Karen Jean-Pierre, a spokeswoman for the White House. “Through the partnership to accelerate (the use) of clean energy, the United States and the United Arab Emirates will focus on the gradual development of low-energy sources,” Jean-Pierre said.

The two partners will invest “100 billion dollars to finance clean energy in the two countries, support enormous commercial investments, and provide other assistance to emerging countries that suffer from clean development due to lack of financing, which are necessary for international efforts in the field of climate change,” according to the statement.

Speaking on behalf of the government, the spokesperson said, “Countries will also invest in the management of hazardous emissions such as carbon and methane, the development of sophisticated nuclear technologies, and the removal of carbon from the industry and transportation sectors.”
US President Joe Biden is scheduled to attend the Conference of the Parties on the Climate (COB 27) organized by the United Nations and will be hosted by Egypt between 6 and 18 November in Sharm El Sheikh.

On Friday, he said that it will depend on “the great work that the United States has done to move forward in combating climate change at the global level. ”
The Climate Conference’s 27th meeting will be held in the UAE in 2023.
