Frank Walter Steinmeier, the president of Germany, will go for Japan today, on Tuesday.
Today, Tuesday, at 6 o’clock local time, Steinmeier will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (0900 GMT).
Naruhito Steinmeier, the Japanese Emperor, is expected to attend tomorrow, or Wednesday, along with Elk Bodenbander, his wife.
A business delegation is travelling with Steinmeier to Japan. After visiting Japan, the German president plans to travel to South Korea.
According to the Federal President’s Office, Steinmeier wants to strengthen real and deep partnerships with countries that share the same values with Germany at a time when confrontations are increasing in the world.
According to reports, Steinmeier also wants to talk about the security situation in the serene environs of India and the growing challenge to China.
The German president arrives in Japan for a three-day visit.
