A new wave of demonstrations and sit-ins in different institutions across Iran began in response to the oppression of Iranians and the government’s prohibition on the admission of some protesting students.
According to the videos published on social media, a number of students in several universities in Tehran, including Al -Zahra University, Alam and Farahk University, Tehran University, the University of Amir Kabir Technology, University of Bahti, University of Sciences and Investigations, Azad Tehran University North, Al -Allama University Tabtabaei They protested against the suspension of a number of protesting students by refusing to enter their courses.
Students from Bhashti University shouted “freedom of freedom” as they crowded the university square.
In protest against the university’s refusal to let some students in, the union councils for the nation’s students declared that Sharif University students will be staging a sit-in in front of the main door.
Students from various colleges also published data in conjunction with these sit-ins denouncing the repression of student protests.
For example, in the statement of the students of Alam University and Ferdik Tehran, which was published today, Monday, “the barbaric treatment of university security guards” was condemned and “converting classes into virtual lessons for two weeks without mentioning any reason by the University Council. ”
Additionally, these students requested that their instructors join the walkout.
In a statement, the students of the University of Tehran’s Mining College announced in a statement that while they protested “brutal repression and extensive arrests of their classmates,” they will continue to strike, sit -in and protest until all their demands, including the release of arrested students.
Students at the University of Science and Investigations highlighted in a statement that because of the widespread and brutal repression and the detention of students, classes should be boycotted.
