Mikati heads Lebanon’s delegation participating in the Arab summit in Algeria tomorrow

Naguib Mikati, the prime minister of Lebanon, arrived in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on Monday in preparation for the Arab Summit’s 31st session, which will take place the following day and the day after.

As the permanent companion of President Mikati during the summit, he was welcomed at Houari Boumediene Airport by Prime Minister Ayman Bin Abdel Rahman, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtan Lamamra, Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energy Samia Mawlafi, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Abu Al-Gheit, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Algeria Mohamed Hassan, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Egypt Ali Al-Halabi, and the Ambassador of Algeria to

The official welcome ceremony for Mikati was held at the airport, according to a statement from the Lebanese Council of Ministers, and was followed by a meeting in the honorary presidential hall with the prime minister and the secretary-general of the Arab League before Mikati went to his home.

The Lebanese official delegation includes the Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib, the Lebanese ambassador to Algeria and the director of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ali Al -Mawla, and the diplomatic advisor to President Mikati Ambassador Boutros Asaker.
Walid Fayyad, the minister of energy and water, travelled to Algeria with President Mikati, and they will speak with Algerian officials about their nations’ cooperation in the oil industry.

Mikati is the head of the delegation from Lebanon to the upcoming Arab summit in Algeria.
