Abul Gheit and the UN envoy to Libya agrees to continue coordination to find a solution to the solution in the country

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and Abdullah Pateli, Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, concurred that the university and the UN Organization should continue to closely cooperate in order to find a path to a solution in Libya that leads to elections and upholds the nation’s unity and institutions.

The UN envoy and Aboul Gheit met at Gheit’s apartment in the Algerian capital, which is holding the 31st Arab Summit tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, according to Jamal Rushdie, the spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the Arab League.

The spokesperson continued, “Aboul Gheit affirmed the League of Arab States’ support for the miraculous envoy’s mission and made an offer to the elements of the Arab position on the Libyan file, particularly the need to take the necessary steps to create a constitutional foundation upon which the elections are held and the significance of launching the required executive actions to fully realise this entitlement.”

Additionally, Aboul Gheit reaffirmed the need for mercenaries, foreign combatants, and foreign soldiers from all regions of Libya.

For his part, the UN envoy, Aboul Gheit, presented the actions and meetings he had taken since his arrival in Libya on October 14 with Libyan political, security, and economic actors as well as civil society representatives to better understand the current situation and potential solutions. He also presented his first surroundings before the Security Council meeting, which was held on October 24 and was a mare to discuss the situation in Libya and ended with the resolution.
