Especially because of gas and Ukraine.. The future of the European Union is in danger

According to CNN, the cold and Ukraine are two difficulties that have aroused alarm in Europe about the destiny of the Union, and European leaders are apprehensive about the likelihood of the group collapsing.
She noted that anxieties were compounded as the continent neared a hard winter that may turn gloomy owing to energy-saving efforts coming from plans to forsake Russian gas.

She emphasised that Bulgaria’s stance on the situation, as well as its declarations about its willingness to engage with Russia’s Gazprom to restore natural gas deliveries, exacerbated the Union’s divisions.

In this context, observers and experts questioned whether the Bulgarian attitude would be the start of a rupture in the Union’s position on the Ukrainian conflict.
Mustafa Al-Ammar, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Christian Democratic Party in Germany and a specialist in international security, responded to this issue by saying that the European Union is under immense strain, stress, delay, and bureaucracy in making choices.

In his statement to Sky News Arabia, Al-Ammar stated, “We may be facing a catastrophe unprecedented in history, even if alternatives exist and are apparent, such as activating and using clean nuclear energy reactors.”
He went on, “What Bulgaria is doing is missing European discourse, and we have always maintained there must be a collective decision because the concept of the European Union demands nations to stay with one other through thick and thin.”

However, Al-Ammar returned to explain that the Ukraine crisis unified us by taking courageous actions, but that when it comes to the gas issue, the European Union must be more present by providing assurances and completing projects so that all nations feel equal.

The international security expert concluded his speech by emphasising that complete reliance on Russia is completely unacceptable, and this is our position as well as the opposition, and thus the European Union must find various alternatives to get out of the crisis, and this will not be accomplished without dialogue and negotiation.

Particularly because of gas and Ukraine. The European Union’s future is jeopardised.
