Chawushoglu: Europe’s weakness conflicts with Turkey’s economic interests

News from Al-Madinah: Mevlüt avuşoglu, the foreign minister of Turkey, claimed that his nation’s economic interests will be adversely affected by the European continent’s weakening.
This came in a speech delivered on Monday, during his participation in the opening ceremony of the academic year, which was organized at the University of “Aqdniz” in the state of Antalya in southern Turkey.

Chawushoglu stated that the global system faces unparalleled challenges in history, noting that the Corona epidemic revealed the regime’s weaknesses and caused an unprecedented economic crisis caused by supply, supply and demand chains.
He pointed out that the major powers’ rivalry has gotten more intense and that the United States and China’s economic ties are beginning to deteriorate.

In addition to pointing out that the battle between Russia and Ukraine had established a perilous border, the minister said that Western Russian competition had peaked in the previous 30 years.
He stated that the international system is currently going through a radical change, indicating that Turkey has adopted a balanced, effective and emotional foreign policy, which turned it from a regional actor into a global force.

According to Chawushoglu, the third diplomatic Antalya Forum will take place from April 28 to April of the following year.
He pointed out that Turkey focuses on digital diplomacy, noting that his ministry is among the most active in the world on social media compared to its counterparts.

He referred to Turkey as a global pioneer in the field of mediation, noting that it is the only nation now serving as the joint president of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe, and United Nations mediation bodies.
Regarding Ankara’s openness to the European Union, Chawushoglu asserted that Turkey is both an Asian and a European nation.

Added him: “Because of this, it is essential that we value Europe, of which we are a part. We must act as a regional force and a global actor to help the European continent overcome its challenges if we are to remain a part of it.”
He stressed that the weakening of Europe as a continent is not in the interest of Turkey, but rather conflicts with its economic interests, adding: “The stability of Europe is important to all of us. ”
