Two days after Russia suspended its participation in the Black Sea export agreement, Ukraine reported that 12 ships departed from their ports today, Monday, laden with agricultural products in standard quantities for one day.
Russia withdrew from the Black Sea agreement “indefinitely”, saying that the reason is its inability to “ensure the safety of civil ships” that travel under the agreement after an attack on its ships.

However, a spokeswoman for the Odessa Military Administration reported on Monday morning that 354,500 tonnes were delivered from Ukrainian ports, the most since the grain agreement was reached in July thanks to the efforts of Turkey and the UN.
On September 27, Ukraine delivered little under this amount, or 345 thousand tonnes.
Olksander Cubrakov, Ukraine’s minister of infrastructure, posted on Twitter, “Today I left 12 Ukrainian ports.”

Added he, “In order to carry out the Black Sea Pills Initiative, the Turkish and UN delegations each send ten teams to search 40 ships. This inspection schedule was approved by the Ukrainian delegation, who also informed the Russian delegation.”
According to Coprakov, four additional ships were authorised to enter Ukrainian ports after being inspected by officials from the United Nations, Turkey, Ukraine, and Russia.

He claimed that the Ikaria Einger, one of the ships that departed Ukraine today, Monday, was carrying 40,000 tonnes of grain for Ethiopia.
He stated on Twitter that this was the eighth ship that the World Food Program and the United Nations had rented. These goods are intended for Ethiopian citizens who faced the threat of a widespread famine.
