Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Kremlin, remarked that the West freezes a portion of Russia’s foreign reserves, calling this action “international theft.”
On Monday, Peskov warned reporters that “hope will finally die” in response to a query about whether Russia hopes that the West will help it to recover its frozen foreign reserves.

The Russian official continued, “We will, of course, continue to protect our interests given that we are discussing about theft, a breach of all international laws and regulations. The last thing to die is hope. ”
The West put a block on Moscow’s estimated 300 billion euro worth of international reserves when Russia began its military action in Ukraine.
