Nigeria, four kidnapped Catholic nuns released

The four Catholic nuns kidnapped in Nigeria have been freed. Alessandro Monteduro, the director of the pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need, declared this.
The kidnapping occurred last Sunday in Obigwe, in the state of Imo in southern Nigeria. The nuns were walking to church when they were captured by a gang of armed men. Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu, and BenitaAgu are their names.

The nuns are members of the Sisters of Jesus, a Catholic Church order based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in southern Nigeria.
Sister Zita Ihedoro, superior of the community, informs ACS that the sisters have been freed without restrictions. Our hearts are full of gladness, said the superior, thanking everyone for their prayers and moral support during these trying times.
