In response to the terrorist explosions that struck the Ministry of Education’s headquarters in the city, Mogadishu, Hamza Abdi Berri, the prime minister of Somalia, made a number of decisions about the distribution of emergency help to the victims.
According to the Somali News Agency, this occurred during his presidency of an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers today, Monday. Several decisions were made, most notably that the federal government would donate $1 million to the relief fund for those affected by the bombings, that the state would pay for the treatment and care of the injured, and that the children of martyrs would be taught at state expense.
The Somali Cabinet once more sent its condolences to the victims’ families and relatives, wished the injured a swift recovery, and expressed gratitude to all facets of society for their assistance in helping the victims.
