Elon Musk: Twitter will adjust the user verification mechanism

Just days after taking over administration of one of the most significant social media sites in the world, Elon Musk announced on Sunday that Twitter would change the way users are verified.
The whole verification process is now being refreshed, but no further information regarding potential changes is provided.

Sunday’s Twitter daily newsletter said, citing two sources with knowledge of the situation, that Twitter is thinking about charging for the coveted blue verification symbol used to confirm the identity of the account owner.
According to the article, users will have to pay $4.99 per month to subscribe to the blue Twitter brand in order to keep their “documented” credentials in the event that the operation is successful.

Tesla CEO has not made a final decision and the project could still be scrapped, but the platform indicates that it is feasible that verification will be incorporated into the blue Twitter brand.
The blue brand, which offers an exclusive “exclusive exclusive” on the basis of a monthly subscription and includes the feature of editing tweets, was introduced in June of last year as the platform’s first subscription service.

After Musk insisted on using a poll on Twitter in April, where he asked millions of his followers if they wanted to change the tweets, the tweet editing feature was also released earlier this month. More than 70% of respondents said they agreed.
