Tens of thousands of Czech citizens demonstrate in Prague in support of Ukraine

Tens of thousands of people gathered in Winceslas Square in the capital, Brag, on Sunday to demonstrate “against fear” following recent significant anti-Czech demonstrations.
While tens of thousands demonstrated in previous gatherings in protest against the high energy prices and the aid of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, which is being attacked by Russia, the demonstrators defended on Sunday to provide more support for the Ukraine’s struggle to defend itself.

The demonstrators intended to demonstrate that the Czech Republic is capable of handling the current crisis so that there would be no reason for fear, according to two of the organisers.
Olina Zellinska, the president of Ukraine, also addressed the attendees via a photo message. The missile assaults by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure were denounced by the wife of the country’s president, Folodimir Zellinski.

“Let’s not let Russia leave the rest of the world and us in the dark!”
The European Union, Czech Republic, and Ukrainian flags were raised by the protesters.
The Czech Republic is one of the most ardent political and military backers of Kiev, along with the nearby countries of Poland and Slovakia, both of which share a border with Ukraine.
