On Sunday, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski declared that his nation’s soldiers had successfully resisted a “violent offensive” by Russian forces in the eastern Donetsk region.
Without mentioning the site of the fight, he said that a military unit from the western Ukrainian city of Chop carried out the operation. In his evening statement, Zellinski stated that “they stopped today the furious offensive operations conducted by the enemy. The Russian attack was repelled.”
The “exchange fund,” which refers to the seizure of Russian servicemen, was filled, the Ukrainian president stated. My town, together with Bakhtout and Evidivka, was the focal point of the heaviest battles in Donetsk.
