Kyiv announces the ban of the movement of 218 ships participating in the grain deal

The 218 ships taking part in the grain trade will not be allowed to move, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure.
The ministry explained that the ban was necessary because, as of October 30, the Ukrainian side lacked ship traffic licences through the secure corridor from the Joint Coordination Center.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russia suspended its participation in exporting products from Ukraine ports due to the Sivastopol terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime forces on October 29, under the supervision and participation of a special unit of the British Navy.
The ministry reported that 95 ships carrying grain are awaiting inspection to depart, while 22 ships are awaiting permission to depart and 101 blank ships are awaiting permission to enter Ukrainian ports.

Dmitry Patroshev, the minister of agriculture for Russia, announced that with Turkish assistance, Russia will acquire 500,000 tonnes of wheat for developing nations for free over the course of the next four months.

It is noteworthy that a grain agreement was reached on July 22 in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by Turkey and overseen by the UN, to resume the export of Ukrainian grains through Ukrainian ports to developing nations in exchange for easing export restrictions on Russian grains and fertilisers.

Early in September, President Vladimir Putin said that the West had used the grain agreement to transmit most of the grain shipments from Ukraine to its countries rather than to those in need in Africa.
