Details… The Supreme Committee for Petroleum Projects will convene to monitor the progress of new projects.

Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, presided over a video conference meeting of the Higher Committee for Petroleum Projects to review the latest developments and executive position of the engineering and construction works for a number of new refining and petrochemical projects being implemented, including the Midor refinery expansion project in Alexandria and the Middle East project to produce wooden panels from rice straw.

El-Molla stressed the importance of adhering to specific time schedules for the implementation of new projects, studying all of the challenges confronting project implementation, and working to develop appropriate solutions to confront them through full coordination between the companies implementing these projects to intensify the volume of work while adhering to occupational safety and health procedures during the meeting.

El-Molla will keep a close eye on the progress of new projects, particularly because refining and petrochemical projects add value to Egypt’s oil wealth by producing high-value products that contribute to the sustainability of meeting the needs of the local market and exporting the surplus, which benefits the national economy.
