One of the most significant projects being carried out in Cairo Governorate is the development of the “Sur Eye Charity District,” which is being overseen by Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. This project is being carried out as part of the political leadership’s directives to return Cairo to its elegant civility and allow it to fulfil its historical role as a cultural and tourist destination.

According to the Minister of Housing, the project entails the construction of 79 buildings at various altitudes, with 1924 residential units and 18 commercial units on the ground floors of some of the buildings. The concrete structure and facade finishing work on 77 of the buildings has also been completed. For the two remaining buildings, internal finishing and facility work are being carried out in advance proportions because the project entails the construction of an entertainment administration.

In a related development, Dr. Abdel-Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, conducted an inspection tour to monitor the project of developing the “Sur Eye El Ayoun region” in the context of the Minister of Housing’s routine monitoring of major projects to revitalise Cairo’s central business district.

The Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs met with the enforceable companies, and the project consultant, to follow up the completion rates, and to emphasize the necessity of conducting the work in accordance with the timetable, and commitment to the quality of implementation.

In order to ensure that all quality standards are met in a variety of areas, including internal and external finishes, the work of coordinating the general site, roads, and infrastructure, within the parameters of the timetable designated for the project’s completion, Abdel-Khaleq Ibrahim emphasised the periodic follow-up weekly for all executive work.

In keeping with the urban renaissance Egypt experienced under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, it is important to note that the historic Cairo development projects that were being carried out aim to raise the standard of one of the most significant areas in Cairo, whether by establishing new cities or by developing the existing urbanisation.
