Tutankhamun’s gilded brush holder portrays beauty of ancient Egyptian art

30 October 2022, CAIRO: This palm-shaped column served as a storage space for writing reed pens.
It is one of numerous writing and artistic-related artefacts discovered in Tutankhamun’s tomb.
The piece is made of gilded wood with tinted glass, carnelian, and obsidian inlays.
The numerous titles that King Tutankhamun had are listed in the middle section. Neb-Kheperu-Re, Tutankhamun’s throne title, is depicted in the picture found inside a cartouche.
