“Grain Agreement” ships are absent from the Black Sea

The Joint Coordination Center said that an agreement on the entry and exit of maritime ships on October 30 was unable to be reached in a statement that was published at night after Moscow declared its involvement in the accord.

“The centre, which is composed of ambassadors from Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and the United Nations and is located in Istanbul, claimed to have been told of Russia’s “concern about the security of commercial ships” and to have passed this information along to the Turkish and Ukrainian delegations.
Added him: “Amir Abdullah, the UN official in charge of the Black Sea grain initiative, alerts the Russian delegation to his worries about the safety of the commercial ships at the Joint Coordination Center.

According to the centre in charge of carrying out the agreement, nine commercial ships were able to utilise the Black Sea marine corridor on Saturday, and there are already more than ten other ships waiting to do the same in both directions.
This agreement, in particular the examination by five teams made up of two inspectors each from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and the United Nations of the cargo ships that follow the Bosphorus in both directions, whether they are loaded or unloaded.

Ukraine has been criticising the sluggish inspections since the beginning of this month and blaming Russia for the delay.
The organisation anticipated that more than 170 ready-made shipping ships were scheduled for inspection off Istanbul during the current week.
The agreement, which came into effect on the first of August, allowed the export of more than nine million tons of grains and other agricultural products from Ukrainian ports, according to what the center stated..
