Marca: Zidane agrees to return to Real Madrid for the third time

The newspaper “Marca”, which is close to the Spanish club Real Madrid, revealed that the French Zinedine Zidane will return to the leadership of the royal after the end of the mandate of Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the current technical director of the Spanish capital club.
After Carlo Ancelotti left Real Madrid, the tabloid reported that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez asked Zidane’s opinion about taking over again. It went on to say that the French coach agreed to do so.

Prior to this, Zidane coached Real Madrid in two different states, the first from 2016 to 2018 and the second from 2019 to 2021. During those two states, Zidane was successful in crowning the royal with 11 victories in the Spanish league, the Spanish Super, the Champions League, the European Super, and the Club World Cup.

At the most recent golden ball ceremony, where Karim Benzema received the star award and was hailed as the greatest striker in French football history, Zidane was in attendance. Zidane said of his favourite player: “Everyone has his favourite player; some will tell you that he is Jean-Pierre Baban with his exceptional goals, while others will talk about Michelle Platini, but for Li Karim.

“Because I was around him and I know his value, in any case he deserves to be always at a top rank, I hope it will continue for a long time,” the former Real coach continued.
The French legend Zidane continued: “I hope that he will always break the records and shine on the field with Real Madrid and with the French national team.

“After a standout season with Real Madrid in 2021–2022, in which he helped Al-Maraneji win the Spanish League and Champions League crowns, as well as the La Liga and Champions League scorer award, the European Super Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup, Karim Benzema was named the Golden Ball Award 2022.

Zidane consents to make a third appearance for Real Madrid, according to Marca
