Trudeau is participating in a march in support of the demonstrations in Iran

Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, marched alongside protestors who gathered in Ottawa on Saturday in support of the more than 40-day-old uprising in Iran.
Speaking to reporters in front of a white banner covered in numerous red fingerprints, Trudeau said, “We will continue our work for a better future for all people on the earth, including women who have suffered in Iran.”

He said, “We are here in sympathy with you and we will remain so,” before concluding by lifting his hand among the chants of the crowd and screaming Iranian phrases.
Sophie Gregory Trudeau, his wife, argued for him by stating that she came to this country because “the freedom of a woman is the freedom of all women.”

The Canadian Prime Minister claimed that in reaction to “chronic breaches of human rights” during the Iranian protests, he had recently placed various penalties on dozens of key government figures in Iran.
Other Canadian cities saw the organisation of groups, particularly in Vancouver, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Toronto, where the protesters arranged themselves into human chains. On Saturday, large crowds also assembled in Paris and other French towns.
