The United Nations confirms its communication with Russia after its suspension is to participate in the grain export agreement

Following Russia’s announcement that it will stop taking part in the grain export arrangement that the UN brokered with Ukraine, the UN declared that it was in communication with the Russian authorities.
“We have seen the reports received from the Russian Federation regarding the suspension of its participation in the Black Sea Pills Initiative following an attack on the Russian Black Sea fleet.

On this matter, we are in touch with the Russian government, UN spokesperson Stephen Dujarric said CNN.
All parties must avoid taking any action that could jeopardise the Black Sea initiative of grains, a significant humanitarian endeavour that improves access to food for millions of people worldwide.

The UN affirms that it has kept in touch with Russia following its suspension in order for it to take part in the grain export arrangement.
