Biden votes early in Delaware for November midterms

(AP) WILMINGTON, Del. On Saturday, President Joe Biden voted in the midterm elections with the help of one of his granddaughters, who was also a first-time voter.
Early voting in person began on Friday in Biden’s home state of Delaware, where he frequently spends the weekends. Democrats nationwide have encouraged voters to take advantage of early voting, either by mail-in ballots or at precincts where available to maximize turnout.

The midterm elections, which will determine which party controls Congress for the following two years, were going well, according to Biden.
Biden has planned trips to Pennsylvania, Florida, New Mexico, and Maryland to campaign for Democratic congressional and gubernatorial candidates in the last days before the Nov. 8 elections.
“I’ll be arguing that this is not a referendum for the remainder of the time. It is a decision. A crucial decision,” he stated.

“A decision between two very distinct national visions.
Biden cast his ballot with his 18-year-old granddaughter Natalie. He also voted in Delaware last month, when he made a quick, one-day trip for the state’s Sept. 13 primaries.
This election cycle, Delaware has no open congressional seats.
