The Arab League denies the existence of any media partnership in covering the Arab summit in Algeria

The thirty-first Arab summit was held in Algeria, and in a formal statement, the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States denied having any “media partners” and reaffirmed that it had no affiliation with any media organisation claiming to be covering the event.

The denial is made in light of the Moroccan delegation’s reservation following the Algerian channel “Al24 Newspublication “‘s on its website of an Arab world map that differs from the one the League of Arab States previously adopted.

The General Secretariat stressed that the Arab League does not adopt an official map indicating the political borders of the Arab countries, and that it adopts a map of the Arab world without showing the borders between countries in order to enhance the concept of Arab unity.
The General Secretariat also urged all media outlets to exercise extreme caution when it comes to the amount of information they choose to post on Arab League websites or through its institutions.

The Arab League disputes any media cooperation for the coverage of the Arab summit in Algeria.
