The Security Council Anti -Terrorism Committee urges to stop the flow of weapons to terrorist groups

Participants in the special UN Security Council Anti-Terrorism Committee meeting in New Delhi sharply denounced the ongoing supply of arms and military hardware to terrorist organisations.
Participants in the special meeting of the Anti -Terrorism Committee of the UN Security Council, which was held in the Indian capital, called on Saturday to stop the flow of weapons to terrorist groups.

The Delhi Declaration, which was adopted on Saturday after the results of the Anti -Terrorism Committee’s meeting that the participants strongly condemn the continuous flow of weapons and military equipment, to terrorist groups and the persons associated with them, including criminals, institutions and illegal organizations.
Participants urge member states to stop and interfere with the supply chains for these weapons and military hardware.

The committee hasn’t met outside of the New York City location of the UN since 2015, therefore this two-day meeting marks a first.
The United Nations Security Council’s anti-terrorism committee is now being chaired by India, who also hosted its two-day meeting.
