WhatsApp introduces a new feature in the iOS system that allows users to view “status” through a list of chats.

WhatsApp aims to provide the ability to view status directly from a conversation list.
This feature, like the Stories service, allows WhatsApp users to upload photos and videos that expire after 24 hours straight within the app. While this function is not as popular as the story feature on the Instagram platform, which is owned by Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, it may be useful for individuals who use WhatsApp to provide services or products, according to the 9to5mac technical website.

WhatsApp is attempting to make this feature available on iOS devices such as iPhones. According to the WhatsApp news site WABetaInfo, when a contact posts a new status update, that status is always visible in the conversation list.
So yet, it appears that just a small number of beta testers have been given access to this capability.

WhatsApp may include advertisements when users are watching status photos/videos in the conversations list, similar to how Instagram Stories works.
Fortunately, WhatsApp indicated that users will still be able to select whether or not to display status images instantly in the chat list, so users may opt to do so or avoid it.
