Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat emphasised that this project fits into the overall work strategy and the ministry’s desire to expand the work of its subsidiaries both locally and internationally. He also emphasised the importance of focusing on opening up new markets, expanding the field of real estate export, and implementing large-scale projects both internally and externally in a way that contributes to generating hard currency and maximising companies’ returns.

Engineer Esmat emphasised that the Ministry’s building and engineering sector has enormous skills and collected expertise that are being utilised and developed during the next stage within the framework of the state’s overarching policy to maximise asset returns.

The project work, which spans 54 km, entails the development of 29 feeding points (mechanical control) and their conversion to electronic control, as well as the construction of 22 tunnels beneath roads, gas lines, and existing facilities. It also includes the supply and installation of a 172 km optical fibre cable as well as 54 km of steel pipes.

Additionally, the project calls for the supply and installation of three new pumps, along with all of the necessary equipment to increase the station’s energy output by 48 million gallons per day, as well as the construction of 15 water hammer tanks, four chlorine pumping units, and a closed pumping circle between the three existing stations.

The “Mukhtar Ibrahim” company is renowned for having completed numerous water and sanitation projects in the United Arab Emirates, with a total cost of 17.6 billion pounds.
