Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid striker, did not attend the Royal training session this morning, Saturday. He will play Girona tomorrow, Sunday, at the “Santiago Bernabeu,” in the 12th round of the Spanish League tournament.

According to the Spanish publication “Marca,” Benzema has not yet returned to full health from the muscular tension injury that kept him out of the matches against Seville and Leipzig in La Liga and the Champions League, respectively.
The publication continued, “Benzema’s absence from the riyal’s training assures his absence from the royal versus Girona tomorrow, in the 12th round of the Spanish League competition, for the third straight encounter.”
Fedi Valverde, a Uruguayan, returned to the riyal’s training session after missing it during the royal’s Champions League match against Leipzig in the fifth round of group play.
Real Madrid leads the Spanish league table this season with 31 points, three points ahead of its longtime rival Barcelona, who is in second place with 28 points, and Girona is in last place with 9 points.
Tomorrow in the Spanish League, Real Madrid will play Girona without Karim Benzema in the lineup.
