Adipec 2022 “begins this year a new era that reflects the UAE global leadership in the future of energy, where the international event is held at a time when the world faces a set of Economic and political challenges that led to stimulating efforts to ensure energy security, sustain it, and make it accessible to all,” according to Tiba Al Hashemi, chair of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) and CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas Company.

In an interview with the Emirates News Agency “WAM,” Al-Hashemi stated that “Adeeb 2022,” which will be held from October 31 to November 3, 2022, brings together energy experts from all over the world and opens the door for innovative visions and ideas by providing a platform for cooperation and discussion between Governments and actors in the sector to come up with workable solutions to ensure energy security and meet climate work goals at the same time.

A significant platform for thought leaders to support the efforts of transformation in the energy sector in a way that is practical and effective, consistent with environmental considerations, and that ensures ongoing growth and economic progress is provided by “ADIPEC 2022,” which also brings together leaders of the energy sector, policy makers, decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world.

She pointed out that, through the carbon neutrality area that was allocated for the first time in the exhibition, the efforts made in climate work and innovations that help meet the obligations and endeavors towards achieving climate neutrality.
Additionally, the enhanced smart manufacturing area will showcase the initiatives that will establish the course for the sector of energy and industry’s future growth.

A number of businesses and institutions are participating in “ADIPEC 2022” for the first time, which helps to build a worldwide forum for conversation about climate challenges and the energy sector’s transition.

The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adeebk) chair commented on the growth of the exhibition in comparison to previous sessions, stating that “Adeebk” has greatly evolved since its establishment about 38 years ago, going from a regional commercial exhibition to the largest technical and innovative gathering in the energy world, and now it has become an important strategic platform. She noted that this year is seeing the return of “Adeebk” to the levels of the “Kofid 19” pandemic, where more than 150,000 people are scheduled to visit during the exhibition, helping to improve the future of the energy industry around the world.

Additionally, “ADIPEC 2022” will have the most international participation due to the increased participation of ministers and nations from around the world, she added. “If we compare last year and the current one, we will find a number of important indicators, as in 2021, about 100,000 energy experts attended,” she said. While we expect 150 thousand this year, while the total area of ​​the exhibition in both years reached 140 thousand square meters, and the number of exhibiting companies last year reached 2000, while this year is 2,200 companies, and the number of national and international oil companies last year reached 51, while 54 this year reaches.
