Al-Madinah News: The summit-level preparations for the Council of the League of Arab States, which will be held in Algeria next month, will be kicked off by the Arab foreign ministers.
At the beginning of the meetings, Algeria, represented by the Foreign Minister Ramadan Lamamra, receives the chairmanship of the 31st session of the Arab Summit, from the neighboring Tunis, which headed the previous summit.

During the meetings, the summit agenda project will be approved, the draft decisions will be considered, and a subsequent consultative session will be held, according to the official news agency.
Abdel Hamid Shabira, Algeria’s permanent ambassador to the League of Arab States, emphasised that the summit’s central focus is the Palestinian issue.

Shabira emphasised that Algeria has a clear vision for Libya to emerge from the crisis and that the Libyan file would also receive significant attention and was included in the agenda.
On the presence of Syria to the summit, Shabira said that Syria left in 2011 due to well -known circumstances, and that Damascus decided not to participate in this summit to avoid “disputes within the Arab family.
