News from Al-Madinah: On Saturday morning, the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea declared its readiness to fend off a driver’s assault on the peninsula in the Gulf of Sevastopol.
Mikhail Rogjijayev, the governor of Sevastopol, reported today, Saturday, that the Russian fleet’s ships in the Black Sea successfully repelled a driver’s attack in the Gulf of Sevastopol.
Rogujayev posted on his Telegram account, “The ships of the Black Sea Fleet repelled a drone attack in the seas of the Gulf of Sevastopol, no facilities have been hit in the city, we keep calm, and the situation is under control.”
“The Semastopol road is temporarily stopped, and the ferries and boats are unable to transit via the Gulf,” Rogojayev further declared.
Notably, Sevastopol serves as the base of operations for the Moscow Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea.
According to Russian news outlets, the Balakalava Electricity Station in Sevastopol was the target of a drone strike last Thursday, according to the Crimean authorities, who noted that the station was not severely damaged.
In light of the Russian military action in Ukraine, Nikolai Patroshev, the secretary of the Russian Security Council, warned at the beginning of this month that there is a high degree of terrorist danger in Crimea and emphasised the need to strengthen anti-terrorism plans.
On the other hand, the Jeresson authorities declared that it is “extremely unlikely” that the Ukrainian forces will make any further progress on the Jeresson Front.
The Russian forces remain where they are, and all attempts by the Ukrainian forces to breach the defences have been halted and suspended, according to Kirill Streamosov, deputy head of the Department of Checkon County, who also emphasised that the chances of the Ukrainian forces are “extremely weak.”
