The Iranian Foreign Minister, during a contact with his Ukrainian counterpart: We refuse to send weapons to the parties to the conflict

According to “Russia Today,” Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian affirmed that Tehran’s stance on the Ukraine crisis is based on the principle of refusing to transfer weapons to the contending parties during a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Couliba.

Abdullah said: “Our policy regarding events in Ukraine is based on the principles of respecting the territorial integrity of states, refusing to send weapons to the conflicting parties, and the necessity of stopping combat actions. ”
As Tehran emphasised its preparedness “to hold collaborative discussions with the participation of military specialists” to discuss these allegations, it also refuted rumours that Iran had given drones to the Russian side.

During a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, the Iranian foreign minister said: “We refuse to transfer arms to the sides to the war.”
