Flowers

Two images on social media spread like wildfire among its publishers, revealing that they were for colourful flowers that appeared in the Libyan desert after rain.
Two images are posted, the first of which depicts purple flowers in a desert landscape and the second of which depicts yellow plants in sand. According to AFP, the inscription that accompanied it read: “In the past days, the rains poured inside our Libyan symbol, and these plants bloomed in the desert.”

While on the communication platforms, the post garnered hundreds of comments from various Libyan pages.
The assertion is false, though, as a Facebook search for the first picture revealed that it was posted on the photographer Chris Cleveland’s page in 2018.
It was photographed in the “Valley of Death” in the Nevada desert, according to the accompanying text, and is part of an electronic book named “The other side of the Valley of Death.”

On Instagram, the image may be seen posted under an account with the same name as the book.
Regarding the second image, I pointed the search to a copy that was posted on the Instagram account of the photographer, George Steinmz. The accompanying comment stated that it was captured in the desert of Klamkan in China..
