The Armenian Foreign Minister indicates the importance of hosting the European Union’s civil mission

According to “Russia Today,” Ararat Mirzoyan, the foreign minister of Armenia, emphasised the significance of hosting a civilian mission to the European Union in Armenia at a meeting with Tuvo Claar, the Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus.
Toyfo Clard was met by Mirzoyan, the Special Representative for the Caucasus and the Georgian Crisis, who stressed the significance of making the European Union’s civil mission in Armenia public and covered some of its actions.

Additionally, they talked on “regional security and stability issues and shared views on the potential for an Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty and a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“On September 27, fighting broke out in the disputed area, worsening the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Both sides suffered casualties, including civilians. Three cease-fire agreements had already been reached, but they did not hold, and the parties to the conflict started exchanging accusations of violation.

During an emergency meeting of the Armenian Security Council, it was resolved to ask Russia for aid in order to make use of the provisions of the Friendship Treaty, the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty, and the United Nations Security Council.

The necessity of hosting the civil mission of the European Union is stressed by Armenia’s foreign minister.
