The United Nations calls for “every possible effort” regarding exports of Ukraine pills

According to his spokesperson, Antonio Guterres, the secretary-general of the United Nations, urged “all parties” to “make every effort” to extend the agreement on the export of Ukrainian pharmaceuticals, while also emphasising the need to swiftly erect “barriers” in the way of Russian exports.
The deadline for restoring the export of Ukrainian medicines after it was halted owing to the war was 120 days, according to the Black Sea Agreement, which was signed on July 22 under the supervision of the UN.

The severity of the world food crisis brought on by the war and the export of nearly 9 million tonnes of grains were made possible by this mechanism, although uncertainty over the agreement’s renewal resulted in some products having high costs.
A second agreement, also signed on July 22, calls for the facilitation of Russian exports, but Moscow claims that Western sanctions, particularly in the financial and logistical sectors, prevent it from being able to sell its products and fertilisers.

“If no party objects, the initial duration of the agreement on Ukrainian exports may automatically be extended on November 19 for an additional 120 days.
He went on, “We urge all parties to use all reasonable efforts to restart the Black Sea initiative and carry out the two agreements, specifically by explicitly removing any residual barriers to the shipment of Russian fertilisers and grain.

“We do not undervalue the problems, but we know that they can be addressed,” he continued, highlighting the need for “clarification” on the part of “governments, marine transport firms, grain merchants, fertiliser businesses, and farmers around the world.

Regarding the export of Ukraine medicine, the UN urges “all possible effort.”
