South Korea’s industry minister, Lee Chang-yang, said in a parliamentary hearing on Monday that his nation will seriously consider filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization over US inflation-fighting measures.
Yang claims that the new rule, which prohibits tax benefits for electric vehicles made outside of the United States, is probably in violation of WTO and bilateral free trade agreement requirements.
