News from Al-Madinah: Turkey would use its territory to transmit Russian natural gas to Europe as part of the “Turkish torrent” project, according to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Erdogan indicated in a speech during an introductory event in the “Turkey era” campaign in the capital, Ankara, on Friday, that this will be the result of talks with Moscow.
The Bosphorus Strait would be protected from environmental concerns thanks to the president’s announcement that his government will soon start working on the Istanbul channel project.

The “Turkish torrent” refers to two pipelines that carry Russian gas across the Black Sea to Turkey and Europe. The first pipeline supplies Turkey, and the second one serves eastern and southern Europe.
