Britain: The Russian forces move to the defense situation in Ukraine

The Russian ground forces have made a significant shift in the previous six weeks, shifting to a defensive posture in the majority of the locations along the Ukrainian front line, according to the British Ministry of Defense.

In a post sent via the social networking site “Twitter” today, Friday, the British Ministry of Defense stated that this was owing to Moscow’s most realistic assessment, which was that the poorly prepared Ukrainian military merely enhanced defensive operations.

She claimed that Russia has increased the number of unprepared, poorly-trained, and even incapable of engaging in offensive operations soldiers in its formations on the right bank of the Jeresson region.

According to the ministry, there was a significant manpower shortage for Russian army combat units in the Khaison region in September 2022. As a result of the mobilisation of well-trained soldiers, the Russian army leadership made the decision to concentrate its efforts on defending the occupied sites. The ministry also stated that even if Russia is successful in promoting long-term defensive lines in Ukraine, its operational design will still be at risk.

According to the British Ministry of Defense, Russia must upgrade its mobile, high-quality forces in order to counter Ukrainian advancements effectively and conduct massive offensive operations.
