Among them are 34 children … about 253 protesters have been killed since the protests began

Mahmoud Amiri Model, the director of the Iranian Human Rights Organization, announced today, Friday, that at least 253 protesters had died since the Iranian uprising started, including 34 children.
“The United Nations must move now,” declared Amiri in a plea for swift action from the organisation.

“At the same time, a US-based human rights group reported that Iranian security forces shot protesters in Zahedan on Friday, one month after violent clashes there that left scores of people dead. Following Friday prayers in Zahedan, the Special Police Forces shot at a crowd of people in an attempt to disperse the protesters.

According to “Agence France Presse,” demonstrators appeared in a video tape released by the NGO after hearing an unknown gunshot.
Another video that was uploaded on the Internet by the Oslo-based organisation “Iran Human Rights,” which claimed that the rounds were directed at protesters who were attempting to seek cover, also featured a hail of gunfire.
It was impossible to tell right away whether the demonstrators were hurt as a result of the shootings.

After Friday prayers, activists claim that hundreds of people marched in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan Baluchistan, one of Iran’s poorest provinces.
According to “Iran Human Rights,” on September 30, violence broke out amid rallies in the city as a result of allegations that a police officer had sexually assaulted a girl, leaving at least 93 people dead.

At least eight security officers were killed during the battles in Zahedan, according to Iranian government-affiliated media, which called them a “terrorist incident” that targeted a police station.
Violence comes at a time when Iran shakes protests that broke out on September 16, against the backdrop of the 22 -year -old Muhsa Amini death, three days after its arrest in Tehran, claiming that it violated the rules of the strict women’s dress..

34 of them are minors, and since the protests started, there have been around 253 demonstrators slain.
