Low economic confidence in Europe to the lowest level in two years

Economic confidence in the euro zone declined to the lowest level in about two years in October due to noticeable deterioration in services and manufacturing indicators, the results of a survey of the European Commission showed on Friday.
The manufacturing index dropped to 92.5% this month from 93.6% last September, as was expected, and it now stands at its lowest point since November 2020.

The poll found that the minor improvements in the retail trade and consumer confidence index were somewhat offset by the decline in confidence in services and manufacturing.
The industrial trust index fell to a negative 1.2, which is the lowest level since January and the ninth consecutive decrease.

Europe’s economy is struggling, with confidence at its lowest point in two years.
