Liverpool boss Klopp fined for Man City outburst

— (Reuters) The Football Association (FA) announced on Thursday that Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp had been penalised 30,000 pounds ($34,848.00) for shoving the assistant referee during their 1-0 Premier League victory over Manchester City earlier this month.
On October 16, at Anfield, after Mohamed Salah, a striker, was denied a free kick late in the second half, Klopp was given a red card for challenging the official.

The FA announced in a statement that Jurgen Klopp had been fined £30,000 for breaking Rule E3 during Liverpool FC’s Premier League game against Manchester City FC on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
The manager acknowledged that his conduct in the 86th minute was unlawful, and a hearing before an impartial regulatory commission resulted in the imposition of a sanction.
After the game, the German expressed regret for his behaviour and admitted that he should have handled the situation differently.

With 16 points from 11 games, Liverpool is ninth in the league standings and will visit Leeds United on Saturday.
