Putin: Russia is always concerned with stability and supports Armenia on security issues

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, said that his country is always concerned with stability and supports Armenia in matters of security during a meeting of the leaders of the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty. President Putin participated through video technology in this meeting, which was made on the initiative of Armenia to discuss the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, where she indicated.

According to the organisation, during this special meeting, organisational steps to support Armenia will be reviewed, together with the outcomes of the work of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Mission.
Putin stated: “As everyone very well knows, Russia usually looks at the historical component, is interested in stability, supports Armenian allies, and works to secure the security of the Armenian people since antiquity.”

Russia will support any decision made by the Armenian people and the current Armenian leadership regarding the terms of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, Putin had stated yesterday during his conversation at a meeting of the “Valdai” club for discussion. He added: “If the Armenian people and the current Armenian leadership believe it is necessary to choose a specific copy From this peace treaty, including what is referred to as the Washington version, which, in my understanding, is the Washington version.

According to Putin, this is also possible, but it is necessary to negotiate with Azerbaijan. He continued, “if the Armenian people and the Armenian leadership believe that its decision has some of its own characteristics, and that it must be taken into consideration and in a way that should be discussed in a future peace treaty, then this is also possible.”

Putin: Russia always prioritises stability and backs Armenia in matters of national security.
