On Thursday, several Sudanese citizens engaged in a violent brawl in the Azbakeya area in the city’s centre, Cairo, which resulted in the deaths of two of them.
In the details, the Public Prosecution ordered the imprisonment of three Sudanese for accusing them of hitting two of their people, which led to their killing of “insistence and monitoring”, following tribal differences between them.
The Public Prosecution confirmed that the claim that the argument originated because the litigants harassed and subjected a girl was false.
The altercation started inside a church before it spilled outside and killed the two victims by stabbing them.
While Sudanese eyewitnesses confirmed that the quarrel used white weapons, while the defendants acknowledged that their crime was justified, justifying them that they were ridiculed by several people, between them the victim.
The accused said that because of tribal animosities, others who made fun of them barred them from entering the church to take part in a celebration, which resulted in a violent altercation between them.
