US Secretary of State Bonnie Jenksins announced that Washington is discussing with Moscow the potential dates to resume mutual inspections in the framework of the “Start-3” treaty.
During a seminar in Washington, Jenksnus stated, “We are currently studying appointments to meet with the Russians and discuss the restart of inspections.
“Therefore, we are adhering to the continuation of the “Start-3″ application,” she stated, “noting that Moscow continues to submit notes to Washington on the work subject to the effect of the Treaty.
According to Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian foreign ministry, Moscow and Washington are looking into the prospect of forming a joint consulting committee for the deal.
