British government: We will continue to work with Egypt as the host for Cop 27

In light of Egypt hosting the Conference of States Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the British government has stated that it will continue to cooperate with Egypt on climate change (COP 27).

“We will continue to work closely with Egypt as the host country of the COP27 Conference,” the British Prime Minister said in a statement. “We will ensure that all countries make progress in the historical duties, which have been pledged in the Glasgow Climate Charter.”

“The United Kingdom will be entirely represented by senior ministers in addition to the president of the Awlak Sharma Conference,” said a spokesman for the Downting Street, according to the British newspaper (Financial Times).
The government is still “dedicated,” according to (Downg Street), to its net zero objectives and “the leadership of international and local work to combat climate change.”

The negotiations on behalf of the United Kingdom in Egypt are anticipated to be led by the head of the UK Conference in the United Kingdom next month.

British government: We’ll keep collaborating with Egypt, which is hosting Cop 27.
